Slovenia

Overview

Slovenia, a miniature, picturesque town in the heart of Europe. It’s located between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, near main European capitals and yet so far from the hectic pace of urban life. Its perfect geographical position and natural wealth, makes it an ideal place to relax and recharge your senses. Indulge in nature, local products, world-class wines and the stories of the thousand years of the city… and if you love SUP there is another magical side of Slovenia waiting to find out: the Alps and intermittent lakes, the emerald-green rivers, the Adriatic coast and the urban paddling through the old town of the capital – the abundance of land SUP incredibly diverse as the country itself. Snowy peaks, rivers turquoise – green, and the Adriatic coast inspired by Venice. In Slovenia, a culinary and cultural refinement is behind a campaign from rustic charm. Slovenia is a destination outside. Of course, there are great museums and historic churches, but local people seem to favor active holidays, and you are welcome – if wanting – to participate. The most popular activities are mountain walks and hikes, although more and more Slovenians are discovering cycling (especially in the capital, Ljubljana). Fast rivers like the Soca screaming from rafted and there are ample opportunities to try more esoteric activities such as horseback riding, ballooning, caving and diving. If all this sounds a bit ‘too much, you can always go to the coast and sunbathe on the Adriatic Sea. Slovenian cuisine borrows a bit ‘from each of its neighbors – Italy, Austria, Hungary and the Balkans – synthesizing and reinventing dishes that emerge both familiar and unique. ‘Slovenian’ touch, so to speak, could also be an obsession with using only fresh and local (if possible) locally sourced ingredients. The result is a fantastic foodie destination, where you can enjoy dishes in unusual combinations that characterize objects like buckwheat groats or mashed beans that you can not be aware of. Slovenian wine, is the white or red, is a force not announced and the regional varieties do well paired with local specialties. Slovenia offers a pristine landscape in the heart of Europe, with soaring views of mountain peaks, hills and valleys out of a landscape painting of the 19th century, with sparkling lakes and rivers that seem to have under the emeralds. The Slovenes are well attuned to the natural beauty, and the intention It is almost always to protect and preserve. Where man intervenes, it is often with good results, for example to Lake Bled, where a small baroque chapel at the top of Bled Island and a dramatic castle on the cliff complete a harmonious whole. You can even go out of your holiday in Slovenia which is the most beautiful country I’ve ever seen.
