Bovilla Lake, “resembling Thailand”, is one of the most amazing hidden gems of Albania. It’s a reservoir of 4.6 km2, located about just 19 km northeast of Tirana and provides most of the drinking water for Tirana.
Being one of the trendiest destinations for outdoor activities, close to Tirana, this area is perfect for hiking and rock climbing! In fact, it’s the favorite spot for most rock climbers because it offers varying levels of climbing difficulty.
The level of difficulty is moderate since the terrain is slightly mountainous and enveloped in lush low vegetation, but the views offering is magnificent and worth the visit!
